My Son Lost Our House Keys

I took my three year old son to the local park a few blocks away last week. He went into my bag to get his sippy cup of milk, and I did not realize that he also took my house key with him when he went back to play on the swings and slide. I did not notice this until we got home and I could not get into our house. He admitted what he did, but I still ended up having to find a residential locksmith in Brisbane Australia to come and help me out.

I first went back to the playground and looked all over the areas where he was playing, but we had no luck in finding them. I was able to get into the house because my neighbor holds a spare key for me, but I knew I needed to get a locksmith out to the house quickly. I am always thinking about our safety, minus a time or two when I let my son lose our house keys! Instead of beating myself up over it, I vowed to be more careful, and I also knew that I was getting new locks in the house.

Though it did not seem likely that anyone finding the keys would know which locks they belonged to, I still knew that I would feel much better having the locks changed. I would not be able to sleep comfortably at night if I knew that someone out there may have seen my son drop the keys, and then followed us home to see which house they could unlock. The locksmith that came out was really nice. He told me what my options were for locks, explaining everything from the cost to how effective each one is. I felt much better after he changed the locks for me, and my son and I both learned a valuable lesson from this.
